I took this image in the New Forest. On this particular day I had a lot of University coursework to do but the weather was just too nice so i decided to get on the train and take the hour and a half journey to the New Forest. I think photography is a valid excuse for not doing work, don’t you? My aim as you should be able to see was to get as sharp shot as possible of this horse’s eye. He was momentarily distracted by my tasty looking camera strap that he decided he would try and eat.
I am currently in my second year at the University of Portsmouth where i am studying a degree in Design for Interactive Media. I am a keen photographer and I am often out trying to capture my best shots with my Canon EOS. I also enjoy Dinghy and Offshore sailing along with all racquet sports.
I discovered my passion for photography during a University unit titled ‘Introduction to Photography’. As is clear from the name, the unit was designed to teach you the basics behind photography, however I found myself wanting to explore a lot more than the basics. I started to walk through my day-to-day life with half of my attention searching for the next perfect shot. I have an interest in all areas of digital photography, however, as you will see from my images, I have an especially keen interest in wildlife, landscape and nighttime photography.
